I just moved to St. Louis today and stopped in for dinner. We had delicious fresh pasta and our waitress Kiersten K was incredible. She gave me food recommendations, coffee shops she loves, and overall was so kind. Due to our incredible experience and Kiersten's friendliness, I will be coming back!!!
So glad someone recommended this place- brunch was fabulous! The chef captured the right balance in preparing authentic Carbonara, and the Pastaria huevos rancheros, French toast egg sandwich special, granola, and Cacio e Pepe eggs were equally delightful. Excellent service, lovely environment, glad we made the trip!
Great pasta! A little pricey (30/person) but it is a more high end restaurant and the vibes are really nice. Great customer service and the chili olive oil with bread is super yummy.
Well, this is an absolute great place for high quality pizza and pasta. I'm Italian born and raised, I can assure this place would be successful everywhere in Italy. Pizza is light, great taste and not heavily covered with toppings. We tried the pistachio ravioli and they were superb. If any criticism, the tiramisu was average, to focused on mascarpone. Kids friendly, great service.
Mouthwatering! A pasta lovers paradise!!!! I have yet to order anything I didn’t enjoy. Each time I have dined at Pastaria the service has been great - humorous and talented servers. The service is very fast and consistently reliable. You don’t want to miss out on all the incredible dishes they have to offer! You have to be prepared to cozy up to your neighbors for this dining experience, so if that’s not your style I’d recommend not coming during peak times.
I sat at the bar and the server was very attentive and friendly. I had the pistachio ravioli and the squash, along with a happy hour glass of red wine and I think it was the perfect order. Good service, good food, I would definitely go back.
Pastaria is a brunch must in St. Louis—especially if you’ve got a big group! I recently visited with the STL Ladies Brunch Group, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. Part of Chef Gerard Craft’s Niche Food Group and recently named one of Ian Froeb’s Top 100 Restaurants for 2025, this Clayton gem delivers big on both flavor and vibe. I had the oven-baked eggs, the famous crispy risotto balls (a must!), and treated myself to not one, but two fabulous cocktails—because when the menu is that good, you go for it. I finished with a scoop of dark chocolate gelato that was the perfect sweet ending. The atmosphere is stylish but relaxed, making it ideal for catching up with friends or celebrating something special. And the service was just as delightful as the food. I love Pastaria! We came in to celebrate a birthday. Made a reservation in advance so wait time was pretty short. Our waitress brought us bread to start, and was very attentive throughout. We got super delicious cocktails, and split the Bucatini All' Amatriciana pasta and the Roman pizza. Both were so delicious and quite filling. Everything came so fast too, we were in and out in less than an hour. The low lighting and intimate space make it perfect for a romantic dinner for two. It was a great fancy birthday celebration. Be prepared to drop a pretty penny, but the food and drinks are worth the price tag!
